Pharmaceutical Disposal

Unused drugs can create a risk of unintentional overdose or illegal abuse if not properly disposed.  However, flushing medication in the toilet can contribute to water contamination.  To safely dispose of leftover pharmaceuticals, place medication in the secure drop box located in the lobby of the Genoa Township Police Station located at 6921 Big Walnut Road, Galena, Ohio 43021. The building is open weekdays from 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. 

Please no liquid medications.
