Homeowners should trim and maintain the trees located in the tree lawn in front of their home. Trees should have a vertical clearance of 14 feet over the road, 8 feet over the sidewalk and branches should extend no more than 2 feet from the curb towards the center of the road.

Removal of dying street trees located within the Township right-of-way will be completed by the Maintenance Department upon request; however, grinding of the stump is not provided. To request this work be performed, complete a 'Request for work in Right of Way application'. Some Home Owner Associations (HOAs) require their approval for street trees to be removed; please check with your HOA prior to requesting removal by the Township.

The Township does not replace street trees after removal. If the approved neighborhood development plan specified street trees would be planted, property owners are expected to plant a replacement. View a list of recommended species.
