Since 1952, Genoa Township has utilized a locally adopted Zoning Resolution to provide for the public health, safety and welfare of its residents. The Genoa Township Zoning Resolution is the official land use regulation for the Township.
The text of the Zoning Resolution provides the purpose of the zoning rules, definitions of terms, establishes districts and their use, dimensional requirements, and establishes local adminstrative and enforcement proceedures.
The color-coordinated map illustrates the specific zoning district each parcel of land is located in. There are different requirements listed in the Zoning Resolution that apply to each district.
