The Maintenance Department manages and maintains Township owned roads, parkscemeteries, buildings, and properties.
In order to maintain the Township's approximately 89 miles of roadways, the Maintenance Department completes asphalt and concrete repairs, culvert and storm sewer maintenance, removal of fallen trees and debris, roadside mowing and snow and ice removal.
Additionally, the Department coordinates two resident events providing a drop-off point for yard waste to be composted:
  • Spring Clean-Up: April 29-May 7, 2017
  • Leaf Drop-Off: November 4- December 3, 2017
Each drop-off event takes place in the parking lot of the Maintenance facility located at 7049 Big Walnut Road, Galena, Ohio 43021.  
Work to be performed within the Township right-of-way must receive approval.  Complete the
Request for work in Right of Way application and submit to the Maintenance Department prior to beginning work.
